Leaving tomorrow for Yellowstone.
For real this time.
Well, Lord willing, I suppose.
I'll be back Monday, probably pretty late.
At that time I will most likely make a blog post.
Because vacations always inspire me, even though I never want to go on them in the first place.
Kind of like right now.
But anyway. I keep wanting to write a blog post, but I'm always too tired or too lazy or too emotional. It's much harder than I thought not just rambling on about myself in these posts, kind of like I am doing right now.
Oh. I saw the new Star Trek movie, and it was incredible. I've only ever seen one of the other movies and exactly zero of the TV episodes, but I still really enjoyed it. I don't think I've heard of anyone not enjoying it. Have you guys seen it yet? What'd you think? Spok is my favorite, in case anyone is wondering. :-)
Monday is when school starts for me. Which probably means we won't be able to have a real conversation again until next summer (You're such a pessimist, Lirael).
ReplyDeleteI have heard of purist Trekkies not liking the movie because it messes with canon. Which is not true!! it creates an alternate timeline in which everything is allowably different. Spock has always been my favorite - but Nimoy is forever and a day Spock. This new guy is good, but not perfection. I like the new Kirk better than the old one though. Shatner cannot act or direct.
Which fingers do you use to type the backspace and enter buttton?
Um... I think I just use my tumbs for everything. Is this another Synethstizia thing??
ReplyDeleteYeah... well, we could at least TRY to stay in touch... just a thought... ;-) I know it's going to get crazy real fast here, it's a bummer.
I totally see what you're saying about the time travel thing, which makes me very proud of myself. :-) The new Kirk was from Princess Diaries. I think his career has come quite a long ways, haha!
Yeah, trying to stay in touch is always a good thing. I will try. [Yoda voice in head] Do or do not. There is no try. [/Yoda voice in head] Is too!
ReplyDeletePrincess Diaries, wow. Major step up! I am glad that the new ST gets the time travel thing right. So many time travel stories are inconsistent. Babylon 5 comes to mind - in which they go four years into the past in order to take something 1000 years into the past in order to make the present...the way it is already! Go figure.
And the backspace button? Ring finger too? No, this is not a Synesthesia thing, this is just a Crystal being weird thing.
The backspace button? It looks like I hit that with my middle finger. You?
ReplyDeleteMiddle finger both enter and backspace. Space both thumbs at the same time, usually, or sometimes just the left one.
